AREA worked as a prime consultant to Gannett Fleming, Inc. and provided design and construction engineering services for the replacement of the existing superstructure with cast in place deck and steel stringers, existing bearings with elastomeric bearings, substructure repair details, staged construction, and temporary/permanent support of existing utilities. All design work was performed using AutoCAD and complied with AASHTO LRFD Design Specifications and NJDOT Design Manual-Bridges & Structures. Responsibilities also included providing Resident Engineer to oversee overall construction activities, work coordination, staff assignments, budgets, review of working drawings and RFIs.
