AREA worked as a sub-consultant to Buchart Horn, Inc. directly for the NJDOT Maintenance and Operations Department (2012-2013). Under this contract, the following structural tasks were completed by AREA:
- Structure No. 0909-151, NJ 7 over NJ Transit, Kearny New Jersey: AREA prepared and finalized eleven (11) jacking schemes to lift the girders at abutments, concrete and steel box girder piers such that the bearings can be reset one at a time at the locations identified in the inspection reports and priority repair letters. AREA also provided work platform design and nine (9) steel repair details at various locations for the steel box girder pier caps.
