LEADERSHIP
Mr. Khadbai has over 28 years of experience and has worked as the Lead Engineer on several major interstate roadways over local roads/ramps or waterways and complex highway grade separated interchanges. Mr. Khadbai has extensive experience in developing designs for bridge and deck/superstructure replacement, retaining wall, sign structure and accelerated bridge construction projects using steel and precast elements.
Mr. Khadbai holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from NED University, Pakistan and a M.S. in Civil Engineering (Structures) from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, New Jersey. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Mr. Khadbai is also a member of numerous professional organizations, such as American Society of Highway Engineers and Society of American Military Engineers.
Mr. Courel is a professional engineer with 31 years of experience in structural design for major interstate roadways over local roads/ramps. After graduating with a B.S. and M.S. degree from Rutgers University, he served as a structural engineer and project engineer on numerous projects in design, construction engineering services, structural rating, inspection, and preparation of plans and specifications. He is thoroughly familiar with AASHTO and NJTA’s bridge design manuals as well as Microsoft Word, Excel and other software. He has excellent communication skills and relationships with clients, engineers and contractors. Courel’s bridge experience includes design and construction of steel, reinforced, prestressed and post-tensioned concrete and curved steel bridge structures, retaining walls and sign structures. In addition, he has experience performing inspection and load rating analysis of bridges throughout New Jersey.

She has served as a design engineer for several projects completed by Area Engineering, and is skilled in Microstation V8i, Inroads, and AutoCAD as well as other design software. She is involved with the day to day operations of the firm and is thoroughly familiar with NJDOT and PANYNJ standards. Ms. Khadbai is also a member of numerous professional organizations, such as Women in Transportation, American Society of Highway Engineers, and Society of American Military Engineers.
Mr. Kong has 27 years of computer intensive engineering experience in software design in bridge, highway, retaining walls, culverts, and sign structure drafting and detailing in Microstation V8i, Inroads and AutoCAD. He has served as a drafter for a variety of projects completed by Area Engineering. He is thoroughly familiar with NJDOT and PANYNJ AutoCAD and MicroStation standards.
