This project involved roadway and structural design for the widening of the Garden State Parkway (GSP) from MP 30.0 to MP 35.0 in Somers Point City in Atlantic County, New Jersey. AREA worked as a sub-consultant to Gannett Fleming, Inc. and provided design and construction engineering services for the widening and bridge replacement of two (2) existing mainline bridges. Design Services included design of widening, total bridge replacement and load rating of two mainline bridges. All design work complied with 2017 AASHTO LRFD Design Specifications and the NJTA Design Manual (Bridges & Structures). All drafting work was performed using Bentley’s ProjectWise platform with MicroStation V8i.
